Headquartered in Central India's industrial steel heartland (Bhilai, Chhattisgarh), we engineer high-tensile mild steel electrodes, moisture-resistant low-hydrogen rods (E7018), precision copper-coated MIG/TIG wires (ER70S-6), and high-abrasion wear-resistant hardfacing alloys trusted for India's most critical infrastructure, railway, and heavy manufacturing projects.

1982

Foundation & Maiden Plant

Magnarc established its maiden manual metal arc (MMA) manufacturing unit in Bhilai, supplying high-grade rutile mild steel electrodes to local fabrication and engineering shops.

1995

Low-Hydrogen & BIS Approvals

Commissioned dedicated electric baking lines for basic-coated low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018), earning formal approvals from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and boiler manufacturers.

2008

Automated MIG Wire Plant

Invested in automated high-speed multi-stage continuous wire drawing and mirror-finish copper coating lines for GMAW/MIG solid wires conforming to AWS ER70S-6.

2018

NABL Lab & Railway Approvals

Commissioned an in-house modern optical emission spectrometer (OES) and Charpy impact testing lab, earning ongoing quality vendor approvals for Indian Railways rolling stock.

IN-HOUSE OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROMETRY (OES)

Our metallurgy lab conducts continuous 24-element chemical analysis, Charpy V-notch sub-zero impact testing down to -46°C, all-weld tensile tests, and radiographic weld soundness audits before any batch leaves our warehouse.
